2011 Astrophilately activities in Austria.

On April 12, 2011 the presentation of the Austrian postage stamp devoted to the 50th Anniversary of the first manned space flight took place at Vienna’s planetarium, Austria.
Mr. Clemens Lothaller, a not-flown Austrian astronaut, took part at the event.
The postage stamp was designed by Mr. Alfred Gugerell, a member of the GMÜNDER WELTRAUMFREUNDE.
At the event, the Secretary of the FIP Section for Astrophilately Jaromir Matejka demonstrated a video film about Astrophilately and Space Mail prepared by Sergey Rodin.
To promote Astrophilately, a number of covers postmarked at the event were launched by a "mail rocket”.

The launch was organized by Jaromir Matejka and the GMÜNDER WELTRAUMFREUNDE club.
The similar launches of the "Mail” rockets were devoted to the following events: STS133, STS134, STS135, ATV, AUSTROMIR.
