STS-97 on the way back letter.

    

The letter was written by cosmonaut Sergey Krikalev, a member of the Expedition 1 crew.
Aboard the station the letter was marked with the “ISS” octagonal board souvenir seal and the “Expedition 1” round board souvenir seal.
The letter was delivered to Earth by the Endeavour American Space Shuttle. Having been delivered to Earth the letter was sent from Houston to Russia by registered mail.
It was the last Space Mail delivery from Space to Earth in the 20th Century as well as in the 2nd Millennium.

The letter was written by cosmonaut Yuri Gidzenko, a member of the Expedition 1 crew.
Aboard the station the letter was marked with the “ISS” octagonal board souvenir seal and the “Expedition 1” round board souvenir seal.
The letter was delivered to Earth by the Atlantis American Space Shuttle. Having been delivered to Earth the letter was sent from Houston to Russia by registered mail.
It was the first Space Mail delivery from Space to Earth in the 21st Century as well as in the 3rd Millennium.
