ISS – 10 years in piloted regime.
10 years ago on October 31, 2000 the Soyuz TM-31 spacecraft with Expedition 1 crew on board was launched to the International Space Station.

China launched Beidou satellite.

On October 31, 2010 at 16:26 UTC, the Chang Zheng-3В (Long March) rocket-carrier was launched from Xichang Cosmodrome, Sichuan province, southwestern China.

The rocket orbited the Chinese "Beidou” (Compass) navigation satellite.

Progress M-08M docked with ISS.
On October 30, 2010 at 16:35 UTC the Progress M-08M unmanned supply spacecraft docked with the ISS. The space vehicle is attached to the "Pirs” module now.

At first the rendezvous sequence was performed in automatic regime. Then, in according to the decision of Mission Control Center, the rendezvous sequence was switched to manual mode at the distance of 194 meters from the station. Controlled by Russian cosmonaut Alexander Kaleri, the vehicle docked to the station smoothly.
