USA launched a Navy communication satellite.
On February 24, 2012 at 22:15 UTC the "Atlas-5” rocket-carrier was launched from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida, USA. The rocket orbited the MUOS-1 (Multiple User Objective Satellite-1) communications satellite. The space vehicle will provide 3G voice, data and video services to military troops on the move.

China launched a navigation satellite.
On February 24, 2012 at 16:12 UTC the Chang Zheng-3C (Long March-3C) rocket-carrier was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in the southwestern Sichuan Province, China. The rocket orbited the "Beidou DW 11” navigation satellite. It is the 11th satellite of its indigenous global navigation and positioning network known as Beidou, or Compass system.
It was also the 158th launch of the Long March carrier rockets.

Russian cosmonauts performed a spacewalk.
On February 16, 2012 at 14:31 UTC two Russian cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Anton Shkaplerov began their spacewalk. They spent 6 hours and 15 minutes outside the International Space Station to move a14-meter crane from the "Pirs” docking module to the "Poisk” scientific module (MIM-2). The space walkers also performed scientific experiments under "Test” and "Vynoslivost” (Endurance) programs. It was the first extravehicular activity (EVA) for the ISS crew this year.
