50th Anniversary of Russian Space Research Institute.

In September 2015 the Russian Federal Communications Agency issued the postal stationery (a post card) devoted to the 50th Anniversary of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences

Total edition is 7750 post cards.

The card was postmarked with the special official cancellation also devoted to the 50th Anniversary of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Russian “Progress M-29M” spacecraft docked to Space Station.

On October 02, 2015 at 01:52 Moscow time (on October 01 at 22:52 UTC) the Russian “Progress M-29M” unmanned supply spacecraft docked to the International Space Station. The spacecraft was docked to the Russian “Zvezda” (Star) module. The spacecraft carried 2360 kilograms of cargo for the six-member ISS crew.

Russia launched “Progress M-29M” spacecraft to Space Station.

On October 01, 2015 at 16:49 UTC the “Progress M-29M” unmanned supply spacecraft was launched from Baykonur Cosmodrome to the International Space Station. The spacecraft was orbited by the “Soyuz-U” rocket-carrier.

Ariane rocket orbited 2 satellites.

On September 30, 2015 at 20:30 UTC the “Ariane-5ECA” rocket-carrier was launched from Kourou Cosmodrome in French Guiana. The rocket orbited the Australian “Sky Muster” and the Argentine “ARSAT-2” satellites. Sky Muster is the first of two huge communications satellites ordered by NBN Co., an enterprise established by the Australian government to set up a nationwide broadband system to ensure every Australian home and business is connected by 2020. The “Arsat-2” satellite is Argentina’s second geostationary communications satellite.

Japanese HTV-5 cargo ends its flight.

On September 29, 2015 the Japanese HTV "Kounotori-5” unmanned supply spacecraft was deorbited. The spacecraft reentered Earth's atmosphere at 20:33 UTC. Non-burnt fragments of the spacecraft sank in the Pacific at about 21:00 UTC. The "Kounotori-5” successfully completed 42 days of cargo supply mission to the ISS.

China launched navigation satellite.

On September 29, 2015 at 23:13 UTC (on September 30 at 07:13 Beijing time), the Chang Zheng-3B/IIG (Long March-3B/IIG) rocket-carrier was launched from Xichang Cosmodrome, Sichuan province, southwestern China. The rocket orbited the “Beidou I2-S” navigation satellite. t is the 20th member of the Beidou fleet launched by China.
