Ariane 5 rocket orbited Brazilian and Indonesian satellites.

On February 14, 2017 at 21:39 UTC the “Ariane-5” rocket-carrier was launched from Kourou Cosmodrome in French Guiana. The rocket orbited the “SKY Brasil-1” and “Telkom-3S” satellites This was the first Ariane 5 launch of the year, following on for seven successful launches of the rocket during 2016. SKY Brasil-1(also known as SKYB-1) will be the 10th satellite launched by Arianespace for the operator AT&T/DIRECTV. SKYB-1 is a high-definition television (HDTV) broadcast satellite. The satellite was built by Airbus Defence and Space in Toulouse, France. Telkom 3S will be the third satellite entrusted to Arianespace by Telkom Indonesia within the scope of a turnkey contract with Thales Alenia Space. Japanese HTV-6 cargo ends its flight.

On February 5, 2017, the Japanese HTV "Kounotori-6” unmanned supply spacecraft was deorbited. A series of deorbit maneuvers were performed at 08:42, 10:12, and 14:42 UTC. The spacecraft reentered Earth's atmosphere at 15:06 UTC. Non-burnt fragments of the spacecraft sank in the Pacific.
