Russian Soyuz MS-07 undocked from ISS.

On June 3, 2018 at 09:16 UTC the Russian “Soyuz MS-07” spacecraft undocked from the International Space Station to deliver to Earth the 3 members of Expedition 55 – Russian cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, American astronaut Scott Tingle and Japanese astronaut Norishige Kanai (金井 宣茂).

China launched Earth observation satellite.

On June 2, 2018, at 04:13 the “Long March –2D” (“Changzheng-2D”) rocket-carrier was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Jiuquan, Gansu Province, the northwest of China. The rocket orbited the “Gaofen-6” Earth observation satellite and the “Luojia-1” experimental Earth-imaging nanosatellite.

American astronaut Donald Peterson passed away.

On May 27, 2018 American astronaut Donald Herod Peterson, Sc. passed away. He was 84. He performed one space flight as a mission specialist on board space shuttle “Challenger” (STS-6 flight) in 1983. During the mission Donald Peterson performed a spacewalk.

American astronaut Alan Bean passed away.

On May 26, 2018 American astronaut Alan Lavern Bean passed away. He was 86. He was one of just 12 men to walk on the Moon. His death marks the passing of the last crew member who performed the second crewed flight to the Moon – Apollo 12.
