New Chinese satellite launcher fails on first flight.

On July 10, 2020, at 04:17 UTC, the “Kuaizhou-11” rocket-carrier was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Jiuquan, Gansu Province, the northwest of China. The rocket was to orbit 2 satellites. The first flight of the new Chinese “Kuaizhou-11” solid-fueled rocket failed to place two small satellites into orbit, and Chinese state media said the cause of the malfunction is under investigation.

China launched telecommunications satellite.

On July 09, 2020 at 12:11 UTC the "Chang Zheng-3B” (Long March-3B) rocket-carrier was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Xichang, southwest China's Sichuan Province. The rocket orbited APStar-6D telecommunications satellite.

“Progress MS-13” mission completed.

On July 08, 2019 at 18:22 UTC the “Progress MS-13” unmanned supply spacecraft was undocked from the International Space Station. At the same day, the spacecraft was deorbited. Non-burnt fragments of the spacecraft drowned in the remote area of the Pacific at 22:05 UTC.

China launched satellite to study space environment.

On July 04, 2020, at 23:44 UTC (on July 5 at 07:44 Beijing time), the “Long March –2D” (“Changzheng-2D”) rocket-carrier was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Jiuquan, Gansu Province, the northwest of China. The rocket orbited the “Shiyan-6” satellite to study the environment and conduct related technology experiments.

US astronauts performed spacewalk.

On July 01, 2020 American astronauts Christopher Cassidy and Robert Behnken performed the spacewalk to complet the replacement of aging batteries in one of the station’s eight electrical power channels. The EVA lasted 6 hours and 01 minute. It was the 8th spacewalk for both astronauts.

SpaceX launched GPS navigation satellite.

On June 30, 2020 at 20:10 UTC the "Falcon-9” rocket-carrier was launched Cape Canaveral launch site of US Air Force. The launch was performed by the "SpaceX” private company supported by the 45th Space Wing of US Air Force. The rocket orbited GPS-3 SV03 ‘Columbus’ navigation satellite.

US astronauts performed spacewalk.

On June 26, 2020 American astronauts Christopher Cassidy and Robert Behnken performed the spacewalk to wrap up a complex multi-year job to replace 48 aging batteries in the station’s solar power system with 24 more powerful lithium-ion units. The EVA lasted 5 hours and 55 minutes. It was the 7th spacewalk for both astronauts.

China launched final Beidou navigation satellite.

On June 23, 2020 at 01:43 UTC the "Chang Zheng-3B” (Long March-3B) rocket-carrier was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Xichang, southwest China's Sichuan Province. The rocket orbited Beidou-55 navigation satellite. It is the final satellite for the Beidou navigation system.

On June 17, 2020, at 07:19 the “Long March –2D” (“Changzheng-2D”) rocket-carrier was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Jiuquan, Gansu Province, the northwest of China. The rocket orbited the “Gaofen-9” (03) remote sensing satellite and two smaller satellites.

On June 13, 2020 at 09:21 UTC the "Falcon-9” rocket-carrier was launched Cape Canaveral launch site of US Air Force. The launch was performed by the "SpaceX” private company supported by the 45th Space Wing of US Air Force. The rocket orbited 58 satellites for SpaceX’s Starlink broadband network and 3 SkySat satellites.
