“Cygnus” CRS OA-8 spacecraft docked to Space Station.

On November 14, 2017, the American "Cygnus” (CRS OA-8 “Eugene Cernan”) private unmanned supply spacecraft was docked to the International Space Station (ISS). The Cygnus spacecraft was grappled by a robotic arm operated by astronauts inside the space station at 10:04 UTC. The cargo spacecraft was docked to the station’s "Unity” module at 12:15 UTC. The spacecraft delivered about 3300 kilograms of supplies to the Space Station. It was the 8th docking of a "Cygnus” spacecraft with the ISS.

“Cygnus OA-8” cargo spacecraft launched to Space Station.

On November 12, 2017 at 12:19 UTC the "Cygnus” privately owned U.S. unmanned supply spacecraft was launched from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS), a commercial space launch facility located at the southern tip of NASA's Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Virginia, USA. The spacecraft was orbited by the “Antares 230” rocket-carrier. The "Cygnus” (CRS OA-8 “Eugene Cernan”) unmanned supply spacecraft, built by U.S. space firm Orbital Sciences Corp., was orbited on its cargo resupply mission to the International Space Station. CRS means Commercial Resupply Services. The "Cygnus” (CRS OA-8) is the 8th successful flight of the Orbital ATK uncrewed resupply spacecraft Cygnus.

American astronaut Richard Gordon passed away.

On November 6, 2017 American astronaut Richard Francis Gordon passed away. He was 88. Gordon performed two space flight, serving as pilot on the Gemini 11 mission in 1966 and command module pilot on Apollo 12 in 1969, logging more than 13 days in space.

Spy satellite launched from Space Station.

On October 24, 2017 at 09:45 UTC, the “Kestrel Eye-2M” was launched from the International Space Station. “Kestrel Eye”, also referred to as “Kestrel Eye-2M”, is a small imaging technology demonstration spacecraft project of the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/U.S. Army Forces Strategic Command (SMDC/ARSTRAT) Technical Center (TC) in Huntsville, AL. The satellite was delivered to the ISS by the US “Dragon” CRS-12 unmanned supply spacecraft in August 2017.

On October 23, 2017 American astronaut Paul Joseph Weitz passed away. Weitz has passed away from cancer. He was 85.

US astronauts performed a spacewalk.

On October 20, 2017, American astronauts Randolph Bresnik and Joseph Acaba performed a spacewalk. The astronauts installed a new high definition camera, replaced a degraded camera on a recently attached robot arm grapple fixture, finished lubricating the mechanism and carried out a variety of other tasks. The EVA (extravehicular activity) lasted 6 hours and 49 minutes. This was the fifth spacewalk for Randolph Bresnik and the third for Joseph Acaba.

Russian “Progress MS-07” spacecraft docked to Space Station.

On October 16, 2017 at 11:04 UTC the Russian “Progress MS-07” unmanned supply spacecraft docked to the International Space Station. The spacecraft was docked to the Russian “Pirs” module. The spacecraft delivered about 2500 kilograms of cargo for the ISS crew.

Russia launched “Progress MS-07” spacecraft to Space Station.

On October 14, 2017 at 08:46 UTC the “Progress MS-07” unmanned supply spacecraft was launched from Baykonur Cosmodrome to the International Space Station. The spacecraft was orbited by the “Soyuz-2.1A” rocket-carrier.

US astronauts performed a spacewalk.

On October 5, 2017, American astronauts Randolph Bresnik and Mark Vande Hei performed a spacewalk. The primary goal of the spacewalk was to replace latching end effector A, or LEE-A, one of two grappling mechanisms on the station’s Canadian-built robot arm. The EVA (extravehicular activity) lasted 6 hours and 55 minutes. This was the third spacewalk for Randolph Bresnik and the first one for Mark Vande Hei.

Russian “Soyuz MS-06” spacecraft docked to the ISS.

On September 13, 2017 at 02:55 UTC the Russian "Soyuz MS-06” spacecraft docked with the Russian “Poisk” (MIM-2) module of the International Space Station.

The spacecraft delivered 3 new members of Expedition 53 to the ISS, Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Misurkin; American astronauts Mark Vande Hei and Joseph Acaba. The new comers joined current ISS expedition members – Russian cosmonaut Sergey Ryazansky, American astronaut Randolph Bresnik and Italian astronaut Paolo Nespoli.
