China launched military satellite.

On January 7, 2020 at 15:20 UTC the "Chang Zheng-3B/G2” (Long March-3B/G2) rocket-carrier was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Xichang, southwest China's Sichuan Province. The rocket orbited the “TJSW-5” (Tongxin Jishu Shiyan Weixing-5) military satellite.

Dragon CRS-19 supply spacecraft returned to Earth.

On January 7, 2020 at 15:40 UTC the "Dragon” capsule splashed down in the Pacific Ocean around 325 kilometers southwest of Long Beach, California. It was the "SpaceX CRS-19” mission. CRS means Commercial Resupply Services. It was the 19th flight of Dragon to the ISS with docking.

Dragon CRS-19 spacecraft undocked from ISS.

On January 7, 2020 at 08:41 UTC the station's robotic arm removed the Dragon capsule from its berthing port on the station’s Harmony module. Using a command issued from the mission control center, the robot arm released the Dragon CRS-19 spacecraft at 10:05 UTC. It was the 19th flight of Dragon to the ISS with docking, including a demonstration flight in 2012.

Falcon rocket orbited 60 Starlink satellites.

On January 7, 2020 at 02:19 UTC the " Falcon-9” rocket-carrier was launched Cape Canaveral launch site of US Air Force. The launch was performed by the "SpaceX” private company supported by the 45th Space Wing of US Air Force. The rocket orbited 60 more satellites for the “Starlink” project.

China launched experimental satellite from Wenchang Cosmodrome.

On December 27, 2019 at 12:45 UTC the Chang Zheng-5 (Long March-5) rocket-carrier was launched from Wenchang Satellite Launch Center (WSLC), located in Wenchang on Hainan Island off China’s southern coastline. The rocket orbited the “Shijian-20” experimental telecommunications satellite.

The last launch of Russian “Rockot” rocket.

On December 26, 2019 at 23:11 UTC (on December27 at 02:11 Moscow time) the “Rockot” rocket-carrier was launched from Plesetsk Cosmodrome, Arkhangelsk region, North Russia. The rocket equipped with the “Briz-KM” booster orbited 3 “Gonets-M” communications satellites and the “BLITS-M” small retroreflector military satellite. It was the final launch of the “Rockot” rocket-carrier.

On December 24, 2019 at 12:03 UTC the Russian "Proton-M” rocket-carrier was launched from Baykonur Cosmodrome. The rocket equipped with the "DM-03” booster orbited the “Elektro-L” № 3 geostationary weather satellite.

CST-100 Starliner spacecraft (Boe-OFT mission) landed.

On December 22, 2019 at 12:58 UTC the American CST-100 “Starliner” spacecraft (Boe-OFT mission) landed at White Sands Space Harbor located approximately 30 miles (50 kilometers) west of Alamogordo, New Mexico, USA.

US launched the first Starliner spacecraft into wrong orbit.

On December 20, 2019 at 11:36 UTC the Boeing CST-100 Starliner spacecraft (Boe-OFT mission) was launched from SLC-41 of the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA. The launch was performed by United Launch Alliance supported by the 45th Space Wing of US Air Force. The space vehicle was orbited by the "Atlas-5” rocket-carrier. CST means Crew Space Transportation. Boe-OFT means Boeing Orbital Flight Test. It was the first orbital mission of the CST-100 Starliner spacecraft, conducted by Boeing as part of NASA's Commercial Crew Program. This unpiloted demonstration mission was planned to be an 8-day test flight of the spacecraft, involving the docking to the International Space Station. But the spacecraft flew into the wrong orbit soon after lifting off and burnt too much fuel. The docking with the ISS became impossible.

China launches environmental satellite.

On December 20, 2019 at 03:22 UTC the “Long March – 4B” (“Changzheng-4B”) rocket-carrier was launched from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in north China's Shanxi Province. The rocket orbited the “CBERS-4A” (China-Brazil Earth Resourse Satellite). The rocket also orbited the eight smaller satellites including Ethiopian Remote Sensing Satellite (ETRSS).
