On October 25, 2012 at 15:33 UTC the Chang Zheng-3C (Long March-3C) rocket-carrier was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The rocket orbited the "Beidou-16” (Compass) navigation satellites for China’s indigenous global navigation and positioning network.
