Chinese satellite in wrong orbit after launcher failure.
08:02

On June 18, 2017 at 16:11 UTC (on June 19, 2017 at 00:11 Beijing time) the Chang Zheng-3B/G2 (Long March-3B/G2) rocket-carrier was launched from Xichang Cosmodrome, Sichuan province, southwestern China. The rocket was to orbit the “Zhongxing-9A” (ChinaSat-9A) television broadcasting satellite. The satellite was placed in a lower-than-planned orbit a rocket-carrier. A brief statement from the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp. confirmed an anomaly in the 3rd stage of the “Chang Zheng-3B/G2” rocket left the “Zhongxing-9A” satellite in the wrong orbit.
