Iran's state TV reported about Iran’s satellite launch.

In according to Iran's state TV, on June 15, 2011 at 09:25 UTC the Iranian "Safir” rocket with the "Rasad-1” satellite was launched.
 
 
Perhaps, the launch was performed from Semnan launch-site, Iran. The 15 kilogram satellite was placed into the 236 X 299 kilometer orbit to perform a high resolution mapping mission. In according to an IRNA (The Islamic Republic News Agency) reporter, the length of the "Safir” rocket-carrier is 22 meters, its diameter is 1.25 meters and the "Safir” (ambassador) alone weighs 26 tons.
