Belgium “Beer and Chocolate” in Space.

Belgium post cards flown aboard the International Space Station.

First these 2 post cards were cancelled in the Post Office of Brussels International airport on 15 October 2013. The cards were addressed to Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kotov who was aboard the International Space Station at that time. Being delivered to Russia the cards were handed over to the cosmonaut’s family. Sochi Olympic FDC aboard ISS.

 

This letter was written at Moscow’s GPO during First Day Olympic cancellation on February 7, 2014, the day when the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games was officially opened. First the letter was sent by registered mail to the home address of Commander of the Russian “Soyuz TMA-12M” spacecraft. Then the letter was delivered by Soyuz TMA-12M spacecraft to the crew of the International Space Station. New board seal aboard ISS.

On March 28, 2014, the crew of the Russian “Soyuz TMA-12M” spacecraft delivered a new board souvenir seal to the International Space Station.

Meeting with cosmonaut Vinogradov.
On October 08, 2013 Chairman of the FIP Section for Astrophilately Igor Rodin had a pleasure to meet Russian cosmonaut Pavel Vinogradov in his home in Moscow. Cosmonaut Vinogradov, who had returned from the International Space Station after his 166-day space mission on September 11, told Igor Rodin about postal activity during his flight and presented to Igor Rodin several Space Mail flown items.

From IPHLA 2012 to the ISS.
From IPHLA 2012 to the ISS.
 
First these 2 letters were cancelled in Mainz, Germany during the "IPHLA 2012” International Philatelic Literature Exhibition and were posted to Russia. Then the letters were delivered to the International Space Station by the Russian "Soyuz TMA-07M” spacecraft. Aboard the Station the letters were cancelled with all proper board cancellations, including the official board post mark dated December 21, 2012, the day when the "Soyuz TMA-07M” spacecraft docked with the International Space Station.

Space Mail from Indonesia 2012.
The letter postmarked at the "Indonesia 2012” FIP Exhibition was sent to the International Space Station and delivered to the station by the Soyuz TMA-05M spacecraft.

The letter was cancelled aboard the station with the board post mark and the board souvenir seal dated July 17, 2012, the day when the Russian "Soyuz TMA-05M” manned spacecraft docked with the International Space Station.
At the Exhibition the letter was postmarked not only with the special Indonesian postal cancellations but also with the Belarusian special postal cancellation as well as with the Azerbaijani special postal cancellation both devoted to the "Indonesia 2012” Exhibition. ... Read more »

China opened Space Post Office.
On November 3, 2011 to celebrate the docking of the Shenzhou-8 unmanned spacecraft with the "Tiangong-1” space lab module, China Post authority opened a new branch office outside the country and out of this world -- 343 kilometers above the Earth, to be exact.
Opening for business on the same day, the China Post Space Office has two venues -- one on-the-ground base inside the Beijing Aerospace Command and Control Center (BACCC) and one "virtual office" aboard the Shenzhou-8 spacecraft.
There is also a new designated post code -- 901001.

A new book about Space Mail.
Soviet cosmonaut-veteran Viktor Savinykh wrote a book titled "My Space Mail”. The author tells about the Space Mail items from his own collection. The 70-page book has more than 80 illustrations of space mail items.

At the end of December 2011 Chairman of the FIP Section for Astrophilately, Igor Rodin had a meeting with Viktor Savinykh and got a copy of the book as a present from the author.
Cosmonaut Viktor Savinykh is signing the book and several covers for Igor Rodin.

Meeting with cosmonaut Samokutyayev.
On December 7, 2011 Chairman of the FIP Section for Astrophilately, Igor Rodin had a meeting with Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Samokutyayev.

The meeting took place in Star city (Zvyozdny gorodok). Cosmonaut Samokutyayev who had spent in space 164 days and had returned to Earth on September 16, 2011, told about his mission aboard the ISS as well as about Astrophilatelic activities during his space flight.
