On January 05, 2014 at 10:48 UTC the GSLV-D5 (Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle) rocket-carrier was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Center (Sriharikota Cosmodrome), Sriharikota island, Andhra Pradesh state on India's east coast of the Bay of Bengal. The India’s rocket orbited the GSAT-14 communications satellite.
