On November 02, 2012 at 21:04 UTC (on November 03 at 01:04 Moscow time) the Russian "Proton_M” rocket-carrier was launched from Baykonur Cosmodrome. The rocket equipped with the "Briz-M” booster orbited Yamal 300K and Luch 5B satellites.
The "Yamal 300K” will broadcast television and high-speed Internet service across Russia and neighboring regions for Gazprom Space Systems, a Moscow-based subsidiary of Gazprom, the Russian oil and gas producer. Yamal 300K is designed for a 14-year lifetime.
