US Crew Dragon “Freedom” (Axiom-2 mission) spacecraft splashed down.

On May 31, 2023 at 03:04 UTC the US Crew Dragon “Freedom” (Axiom-2 mission) spacecraft splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico, south of Panama City, Florida. The spacecraft delivered from the ISS to Earth US astronaut Peggy Whitson; US commercial astronaut John Shoffner; Saudi Arabian astronaut Ali AlQarni (علي القرني); Saudi Arabian woman-astronaut Rayyanah Barnawi (ريانة برناوي). They spent in space 9 days, 5 hours and 27 minutes. It was the 2nd flight of the Crew Dragon “Freedom” capsule (Dragon capsule C212). The appropriately named Ax-2 mission was the second commercial station visit chartered by Houston-based Axiom Space private incorporated company.

7 other ISS crew members - Sergey Prokopyev, Dmitry Petelin, Francisco Rubio, Stephen Bowen, Warren Hoburg, Sultan Al Neyadi (النيادي سلطان سيف مفتاح حمد), Andrey Fedyaev remained in orbit aboard the International Space Station as Expedition 69 crew members.
