USA launched a new rocket carrying a spy satellite.
15:21
On August 28, 2013 at 18:03 UTC the US "Delta 4-Heavy” rocket-carrier was launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base. The launch was performed by United Launch Alliance supported by the 30th Space Wing of US Air Force. The rocket orbited a US spy satellite.
The launch was named as the NROL-65 mission as it was done for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), which is in charge of U. S. intelligence-gathering satellites, to support national defense, according to the United Launch Alliance, which also developed the rocket together with the U.S. Air Force.
Experts believe that this is a reconnaissance spacecraft of a KH-11/CRYSTAL type.
