Report from Belgium.
The regional competitive exhibition West- and East Flanders
"FILA NOVUS PORTUS 2013” was held on 22 and 23 June at Nieuwpoort, where a
Cosmos member exhibited "out of competition” with 6 frames each "Europe in
Space” and US Space Explorations”.
As national commissioner I brought at the monthly
meetings the news of the Belgium Federation, as well as of East Flander.
Astrophilatelic news was brought by power point presentation.
For 2014 we look forward to the national competitive
exhibition BRABANTPHIL 2014 which will be held from 3 to 5 October at Aarschot.
Six astro collectors promised to participate.
Much to my regret, as well as of the Belgian
astrophilatelists, I learned about the not-including the Class of
Astrophilately into the FEPA exhibition London 2015.
I am convinced a lot of collectors not only from
Belgium, but also from France. Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland,
would have participated and visited the exhibition, despite the very high price
per frame equal about 80 euros.
Sincerely hope that in the future both FIP and FEPA
will include Astrophilately in their competitive exhibitions and will reduce
the cost per frame.
