Five satellites were orbited by India.
On July 12, 2010 at 03:52 UTC the PSLV С-15 (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) rocket-carrier was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Center on India’s Sriharikota island in the Bay of Bengal.
The four-stage rocket-carrier orbited 5 satellites.
The mission's primary payload is the Indian Cartosat 2B satellite. The 694 kilogram satellite has a black-and-white camera with the resolution of 0.8 meters giving users close views of cities, neighborhoods, natural resources and military sites around the world. The imagery will have applications in resource mapping, urban planning, transportation studies, water monitoring, and crop inventories.

An American satellite launched by Russian rocket.
On July 10, 2010 at 18:40 UTC the Russian "Proton-M” rocket-carrier was launched from Baykonur Cosmodrome to orbit the American "EchoStar-15” satellite.
EchoStar-15 produced by Space Systems Loral is a new direct broadcast satellite (DBS). EchoStar-15 will provide expanded services and flexibility for the "DISH Network” TV company which has about 14 million television subscribers.
