On January 28, 2012 at 00:08 UTC the Russian "Progress M-14M” unmanned supply spacecraft docked with the International Space Station (ISS). The space vehicle was docked to the Russian "Pirs” (pier) module. The Progress delivered over 2600 kilograms of supplies to the ISS crew. The cargo includes fuel, water and food supplies, as well as scientific equipment.
With a record of more than 130 launches since 1978 and only one failure, Progress-family vehicles remain the backbone of the Russian space cargo fleet. In addition to their main mission as supply space vehicles, they are used to adjust the ISS's orbit and to conduct scientific experiments.
