Arian rocket orbited 2 satellites.
On July 05, 2012 at 21:36 UTC the "Arian-5” rocket-carrier was launched from Guiana Space Center at the European Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana. The rocket orbited 2 satellites – the American "EchoStar-17” telecommunication satellite and the European MSG-3 (Meteosat Second Generation) geostationary weather observatory.

Astronaut Alan Poindexter died in accident.
On July 01, 2012 American astronaut Alan Goodwin Poindexter died from injuries sustained in a jet ski crash in Florida. He was 50 years old.
A.Poindexter, a two-time space shuttle flier, was jet skiing with his sons near Pensacola Beach, when the accident occurred. Poindexter and his son were still sitting on the jet ski when Poindexter's oldest son, 26-year-old Zachary, crashed into them on a separate jet ski. Poindexter later died of his injuries after being airlifted to a nearby Baptist Hospital.
