India launched navigation satellite.
On October 15, 2014 at 20:02 UTC the PSLV-C26 (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) rocket-carrier was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Center on Sriharikota Island, India's primary launch site on the country's east coast. The rocket orbited the IRNSS-1C navigation satellite. The spacecraft is the third launch for the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System, a growing network of satellites to locate cars, airplanes, and shipping vessels across India and its neighbors.
