On July 25, 2015 at 12:29 UTC, the Chang Zheng-3B (Long March-3B) rocket-carrier was launched from Xichang Cosmodrome, Sichuan province, southwestern China. The rocket equipped with the YZ-1 booster orbited the 2 “Beidou” navigation satellites.

On July 24, 2015 at 00:07 UTC the "Delta-4 Medium+ ” rocket-carrier was launched from Cape Canaveral launch site of US Air Force. The launch was performed by United Launch Alliance. The rocket orbited the “WGS-7” (Wideband Global SATCOM) US military communications satellite. WGS is the Department of Defense’s highest capacity communications satellite system. The satellites provide the needed capacity, coverage and connectivity in support of demanding operational scenarios for the Pentagon and allied forces around the world.
