On June 27, 2018 at 03:30 UTC the Chang Zheng-2C (Long March-2C) rocket-carrier was launched from Xichang Cosmodrome, Sichuan province, southwestern China. The rocket orbited two Earth observation satellites. Their names were not officially announced, but Chinese officials said the twin spacecraft will conduct tests of inter-satellite networking links and Earth observation technology.
