On December 24, 2018 at 16:53 UTC the "Chang Zheng-3C/G2” (Long March-3C/G2) rocket-carrier was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Xichang, southwest China's Sichuan Province. The rocket orbited the “TJS-3” satellite. The Xinhua agency identified the payload as a communications technology test satellite. No other information about the space vehicle or its mission were released by Chinese officials.

On December 23, 2018 at 13:51 UTC the " Falcon-9” rocket-carrier was launched Cape Canaveral launch site of US Air Force. The launch was performed by the "SpaceX” private company supported by the 45th Space Wing of US Air Force. The rocket orbited the GPS-3 SV01 (Vesoucci) navigation satellite.
