On November 25, 2019 at 17:52 UTC the “Soyuz-2.1B” rocket-carrier was launched from Plesetsk Cosmodrome, Arkhangelsk region, North Russia. The launch was performed by Russian Aerospace Defence Forces. The rocket orbited the “Kosmos-2542” top secret Russian military satellite. The spacecraft will monitor the condition of other Russian satellites in orbit, suggesting the satellite has a space surveillance mission. The satellite’s optical instrument will also allow it to take pictures of Earth.
