On June 13, 2020 at 05:12 UTC, the “Electron” rocket-carrier was launched from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1, the commercial spaceport located on the Mahia Peninsula on the eastern coast of New Zealand's North Island. The rocket orbited 5 satellites. Three of the orbited satellites were designed, built and will be operated by the National Reconnaissance Office, the owner of the U.S. government’s spy satellite fleet.
