Russian “Soyuz MS-26” spacecraft docked to the ISS.

On September 11, 2024 at 19:32 UTC, the Russian "Soyuz MS-26” spacecraft docked with the Russian “Rassvet” module of the International Space Station. The spacecraft delivered 3 members of Expedition 71/72 to the ISS, Russian cosmonauts Aleksey Ovchinin and Ivan Vagner as well as US astronaut Donald Pettit. The new comers joined current ISS Expedition 71 members – Oleg Kononenko, Nikolai Chub, Tracy Caldwell-Dyson, Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt, Jeanette Epps, Alexander Grebenkin, Barry Wilmore, Sunita Williams. The 12 crew members will work together till September 23. After a “handover,” Aleksey Ovchinin, Ivan Vagner and Donald Pettit will replace Kononenko, Chub and Caldwell-Dyson, who plan to return to Earth aboard the “Soyuz MS-25” on September 23.
