On March 18, 2010 is the 45th Anniversary of the World’s First Extra Vehicular Activity (Space Walk) performed by Soviet cosmonaut Aleksey LEONOV.
During the flight cosmonaut A.Leonov performed a 16 minute space walk (EVA).
On March 18, 2010 a lot of people including high ranking officials will come to Moscow’s Memorial Cosmonautic Museum to congratulate Aleksey Leonov, cosmonaut pilot, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, the person, whose courage cleared the way to the outer space for the next generation of space men.
Russian Post issues a cover (postal stationery) devoted to the 45th Anniversary of this most outstanding achievement in the history of space exploration.
The cover shows the picture "In outer space” by Aleksey Leonov created in 1980.
