On October 25, 2013 at 03:50 UTC the "Long March – 4B” ("Changzheng-4B”) rocket-carrier was launched from the Jiuquan satellite launching center in northwest China's Inner Mongolia province. The rocket orbited the "Shijian-16” experimental satellite. According to the Xinhua news agency, the "Shijian-16” will be "used mainly for conducting space environment exploration and technological experiments. Shijian means "practice" in Chinese.
