China launched communications satellite.

On May 01, 2013 at 16:06 UTC (on May 02 at 00:06 Beijing time) the "Long March-3B” rocket-carrier was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The rocket orbited the "Zhongxing-11" communications satellite. "Zhongxing-11" will be mainly used in providing commercial communications services for users in the Asia-Pacific region.
