On February 2, 2018, at 07:51 the “Long March –2D” (“Changzheng-2D”) rocket-carrier was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Jiuquan, Gansu Province, the northwest of China. The rocket orbited 7 satellites. The main payload was the “Zhangheng-1”, a Chinese-built satellite designed to sense precursor signals emitted before earthquakes, research that could eventually lead to earthquake predictions. The rocket also orbited 6 smaller satellites: Fengmaniu-1; Shaonian Xing (Youth Star); ÑuSat-4 'Ada' (Aleph-1 4); ÑuSat-5 'Maryam' (Aleph-1 5); GomX-4A (Ulloriaq); GomX-4B. Attachments: |
