China launched government surveillance satellite.
18:08

On May 15, 2016, at 02:43 the “Long March –2D” (“Changzheng-2D”) rocket-carrier was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Jiuquan, Gansu Province, the northwest of China. The rocket orbited the “Yaogan 30” remote sensing satellite. The satellite will be used for experiments, land surveys, crop yield estimates and disaster relief. Western analysts believe the Yaogan satellites series is a fleet of Chinese intelligence-gathering spacecraft.
