On November 14, 2017 at 18:35 UTC the “Long March – 4C” (“Changzheng-4C”) rocket-carrier was launched from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in north China's Shanxi Province. The rocket orbited the “Fengyun 3D” polar-orbiting weather satellite. The “Fengyun 3D” is equipped with 10 instruments to collect data on atmospheric conditions, cloud and storm movements, ozone health and greenhouse gases. The rocket also orbited the “Head-1” AIS maritime tracking receiver microsatellite.
