On August 9, 2010 at 22:49 UTC (on August 10, 2010 at 06:49 a.m. Beijing Time) China successfully launched the Long March 4C (Chang Zheng-4C) rocket-carrier from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in northern Shanxi Province.
The rocket orbited the "Yaogan 10" remote-sensing satellite.
The satellite will be used to conduct scientific experiment, carry out surveys on land resources, estimate crops yield and help with natural disaster-reduction and prevention endeavor. Attachments: |
