On November 20, 2013 at 03:31 UTC the "Long March – 4C” ("Changzheng-4C”) rocket-carrier was launched from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Taiyuan, capital of north China's Shanxi Province. The rocket orbited the "Yaogan – 19” remote-sensing satellite. The satellite will be used to conduct scientific experiments, carry out land surveys, monitor crop yields and aid in preventing and reducing natural disasters.
