China launched satellite to monitor natural disaster.

On September 25, 2013 at 04:37 UTC the "Kuaizhou” light rocket-carrier was launched from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, China. The rocket orbited the "Kuaizhou-1” ("Speedy Vessel”) satellite. The satellite will monitor natural disasters and provide disaster-relief information for its user, the National Remote Sensing Center of China, a public institution under the Ministry of Science and Technology.
