On March 9, 2019 at 16:28 UTC the "Chang Zheng-3B/G2” (Long March-3B/G2) rocket-carrier was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Xichang, southwest China's Sichuan Province. The rocket orbited the “Chinasat-6C” (Zhongxing-6C) telecommunications satellite. It was the 300^th launch of the rocket-carrier of the "Chang Zheng” (Long March) series since April 24, 1970, when the “Long March-1” rocket orbited China’s first satellite.
