Russian Post issued the postage stamp devoted to the 75th Birthday Anniversary of Soviet cosmonaut German Titov
In August 1961 he performed the second in the History of World cosmonautic manned space flight. He was 26 years old during his space flight. He remains the youngest cosmonaut in the world performed the space flight.
Stamps are
issued in mini sheets with illustrated margins. Circulation: 450 thousand
stamps (75 thousand sheets).
First Day Cover devoted to the event was also issued by Russian Post.
The illustration of the postal stationery shows the monument at the place of cosmonaut Titov's landing which is situated not far from the town of Krasny Kut, Saratov region, Russia. The special cancellation was made at the Post Office of Krasny Kut.
The German Titov illustrated post card officially issued by Russian Post was used to make a maximum card.
