On August 28, 2015 at 11:44 UTC the Russian "Proton-M” rocket-carrier was launched from Baykonur Cosmodrome. The rocket equipped with the "Briz-M” booster orbited the “Inmarsat 5F-3” telecommunication satellite. The Proton rocket returned to flight with the successful deployment of a powerful new communications satellite for Inmarsat of London in the workhorse rocket’s first flight since a launch failure in May. The launch returns the Proton rocket to service and puts Inmarsat on pace to inaugurate global operations of a next-generation satellite fleet by the end of the year to link users on ships and airplanes.
