In my collection there is a flown cover with an UAE postage stamp.
First this cover was cancelled in South Africa, at Seychelles and in United Arab Emirates. Than this cover was delivered to the Russian "Mir” space station by the "Progress M-15” unmanned supply spacecraft.
Aboard the station Russian cosmonauts A.Solovjov and S.Avdeev cancelled the cover with all "Mir” board seals, including board post mark dated October 29, 1992, the day when Progress M-15 docked to the MIR space station.
Perhaps it was for the first time when UAE postage stamps traveled in space. Attachments: |
