On January 20, 2023, US astronaut Nicole Mann and Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata performed the spacewalk to prepare the station for arrival of another pair of new solar arrays later this year. The EVA lasted 7 hours and 21 minutes. It was the 1^st spacewalk for both Nicole Mann and Koichi Wakata.
