On November 16, 2022 at 06:47 UTC, the SLS (Space Launch System) rocket-carrier was launched from Kennedy Space Center (LC39B), Florida, USA. The moon rocket orbited the “Orion” unpiloted spacecraft to reach lunar orbit on a 25-day test flight to lay a path for astronauts to return to the moon for the first time since 1972. This launch marked the first major test flight for NASA’s Artemis program. “Orion” (Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle or Orion MPCV) is a partially reusable crewed spacecraft used in NASA's Artemis program.
