On July 30, 2020 at 11:50 UTC the "Atlas-5” rocket-carrier was launched from Cape Canaveral launch site of US Air Force. The rocket orbited the Mars 2020 mission. The Perseverance rover is the centerpiece of NASA’s Mars 2020 mission, which will seek signs of ancient microbial life forms that scientists believe could have populated the Red Planet billions of years ago.
