Progress M-10M docked to ISS.
On April 29, 2011 at 14:28 UTC the Progress M-10M unmanned supply spacecraft docked to the ISS. The spacecraft docked to the "Pirs” module. The spacecraft delivered more than 2645 kilograms of cargo, including oxygen, water, food and medical equipment, to the International Space Station. Aboard the spacecraft there were several letters addressed to the ISS crew members.

Progress M-10M launch.
On April 27, 2011 at 13:05 UTC the Progress M-10M unmanned supply spacecraft was launched from Baykonur Cosmodrome. The spacecraft is to deliver more than 2.5 tons of cargoes, including oxygen, water, food and medical equipment, to the International Space Station. The Progress M-10M is to dock with the ISS on April 29 at 14:29 UTC.

Arian rocket orbited 2 satellites.
On April 22, 2011 at 21:37 UTC the Ariane 5ECA (V201) rocket-carrier was launched from the Kourou space center in French Guiana. The rocket orbited Yahsat 1A and Intelsat New Dawn communications satellites.
Operated by Al Yah Satellite Communications Co. of Abu Dhabi, Yahsat 1A will provide direct-to-home television programming, secure Ka-band communications capacity for government and military applications in the United Arab Emirates and other nations.
Intelsat New Dawn satellite will link Africa, Western Europe, the Middle East and Pakistan through Ku-band and C-band transponders and antennas and will operate for more than 15 years.

Progress M-09M undocked from the ISS.
On April 22, 2011 at 11:41 UTC the Progress M-09M unmanned supply spacecraft undocked from the Pirs module of the ISS. The spacecraft 09M will continue its autonomous flight till April 26 to be used for Radar-Progress scientific experiment to investigate reflection feature of the plasma generated by operations of the Progress propulsion. On April 26, it will be deorbited and drowned in the remote area of the Pacific.

India launched 3 satellites.
On April 20, 2011 at 04:42 UTC the PSLV C-16 rocket-carrier was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Center on Sriharikota Island on India's east coast. The rocket orbited 3 satellites.
Resourcesat 2 will help officials respond to natural disasters, monitor agriculture and manage urban and rural roads and infrastructure.
YouthSat, a joint mission between Indian and Russian students, carries three science instruments to study the upper atmosphere and measure solar cosmic rays.
X-SAT, Singapore's first national satellite has a multi-spectral camera and will demonstrate space-based remote sensing and image processing technologies.

US launched a spy satellite.
On April 15, 2011 at 04:24 UTC the Atlas-5 rocket-carrier was launched by United Launch Alliance from Vandenberg Air Force base, USA. The rocket orbited a secret spy satellite to refresh the Naval Ocean Surveillance System. The launch was marked as NROL-34.

April 12 - Now Marked Worldwide
UN declares April 12 as International Day of Human Space Flight.

The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution at a special session on Thursday (April 07, 2011) declaring April 12 the International Day of Human Space Flight.
The resolution was initiated by Russia, which celebrates Cosmonautics Day on April 12 dedicated to the historic first manned flight to space by Russia's Yury Gagarin in 1961.

Soyuz TMA-21 docked with the ISS.
On April 06, 2011 at 23:09 UTC (April 07 at 03:09 Moscow time) the Soyuz TMA-21 spacecraft successfully docked to the International Space Station. The "Yuri Gagarin” spacecraft docked to the "Poisk” (MRM-2) module.
The spacecraft delivered a crew of Expedition 27 increment.
 

Two Russian cosmonauts, Aleksandr Samokutyayev and Andrei Borisenko, and American astronaut Ronald Garan, are supposed to stay in orbit for five months. The hatches between the spacecraft and the station were opened at 02:15 UTC on April 07. ... Read more »
