Russian cosmonauts performed EVA.
On August 17, 2022, Russian cosmonauts Oleg Artemyev and Denis Matveev performed the extra vehicle activities (EVA – spacewalk) to continue work on integrating the European remote manipulator ERA into the Russian segment of the ISS. Spacesuit problems - voltage fluctuations - forced Oleg Artemyev to return early to the “Poisk” airlock compartment on an expedited bases to hook up to ISS power. The spacewalk was shorted and not all tasks were completed. The EVA lasted 4 hours and 01 minute. It was the 7th EVA for Oleg Artemyev and the 3rd EVA for Denis Matveev.

China launched the new “Wentian” science module to its space station.
On July 24, 2022 at 06:22 UTC, the new “Wentian” science module was launched from Wenchang Satellite Launch Center (WSLC), located in Wenchang on Hainan Island off China’s southern coastline. The module was orbited by the Chang Zheng-5B (Long March-5B) rocket-carrier. The 25-ton “Wentian” science module is the second major element of the Chinese “Tiangong” space station. The module will dock with the “Tianhe” core module on China’s “Tiangong” station later on July 24. Chinese astronauts Chen Dong, Liu Yang, and Cai Xuzhe living on the “Tiangong” complex will monitor Wentian’s arrival, then become the first crew members to float into the station’s new module.

Russian cosmonaut and Italian astronaut performed EVA.
On July 21, 2022, Russian cosmonaut Oleg Artemyev and Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti performed the joint spacewalk (extra vehicle activities - EVA) to continue outfitting a European robotic arm and to deploy 10 nanosatellites for radio technology experiments. The EVA lasted 7 hours and 04 minutes.
The joint spacewalk is a rarity. The last time a non-Russian astronaut performed a spacewalk in a Russian Orlan spacesuit was in 2009, when NASA astronauts worked with Russian crewmates outside the station. Cristoforetti, a former Italian Air Force pilot, became the fourth European astronaut to conduct a spacewalk in a Russian spacesuit, but the first European to do it outside the International Space Stati
