On March 28, 2019 at 22:37 UTC, the “Electron-KS” rocket-carrier was launched from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1, a commercial spaceport located close to Ahuriri Point at the southern tip of Mahia Peninsula, on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island. It is owned and operated by private spaceflight company Rocket Lab. The rocket orbited the Radio Frequency Risk Reduction Deployment Demonstration satellite for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the United States government’s military technology development agency.

Crash launch from Jiuquan.
On March 27, 2019 at 09:39 UTC, the “OneSpace-M1” rocket-carrier was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Jiuquan, Gansu Province, the northwest of China. The rocket was to orbit the “Lingque-1B” CubeSat satellite. The rocket veering off course around a minute after liftoff, shortly after first stage separation and second stage ignition. The rocket fell back to Earth, ending OneSpace attempt to become the first private Chinese company to launch a satellite. Another Chinese company, the “LandSpace”, launched an orbital-class rocket on 27 October 2018, but it also faltered before reaching orbit.

US astronauts performed a spacewalk.
On March 22, 2019, American astronauts Anne McClain and Nick Hague performed a spacewalk to complete the installation of powerful new batteries, a complex task that began in 2017. Another set of batteries will be installed during another spacewalk on March 29. The EVA (extravehicular activity) lasted 6 hours and 39 minutes. This was the first spacewalk for both Anne McClain and Nick Hague. Anne McClain became the 13th women to walk in space.

Vega rocket orbited Italian Earth-imaging satellite.
On March 22, 2019 at 01:50 UTC the “Vega” rocket-carrier was launched from Kourou Cosmodrome in French Guiana. The rocket orbited the Italian PRISMA (Precursore Iperspettrale della Missione Applicativa) hyperspectral Earth-imaging satellite. The satellite is designed to monitor the environment, track pollution and water quality, and chart the growth of forests and crops.

On March 16, 2019 at 00:26 UTC the “Delta-4” rocket-carrier was launched from Cape Canaveral launch site of US Air Force. The launch was performed by United Launch Alliance supported by the 45th Space Wing of US Air Force. The rocket orbited the “WGS-10” military navigation satellite.
