On March 27, 2019 at 09:39 UTC, the “OneSpace-M1” rocket-carrier was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Jiuquan, Gansu Province, the northwest of China. The rocket was to orbit the “Lingque-1B” CubeSat satellite. The rocket veering off course around a minute after liftoff, shortly after first stage separation and second stage ignition. The rocket fell back to Earth, ending OneSpace attempt to become the first private Chinese company to launch a satellite. Another Chinese company, the “LandSpace”, launched an orbital-class rocket on 27 October 2018, but it also faltered before reaching orbit. Attachments: |
