The last launch of US "Delta-2” rocket.

On September 15, 2018 at 13:02 UTC the "Delta-2” rocket-carrier was launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, USA. The launch was performed by United Launch Alliance supported by the 30th Space Wing of US Air Force. It was the last launch of US "Delta-2” rocket-carrier. Delta-2 was part of the Delta rocket family and entered service in 1989. The main payload was NASA's “ICESat-2” satellite (Ice, Cloud, and Land Elevation Satellite-2). The rocket also orbited four CubeSats: ELFIN, or the Electron Losses and Fields Investigation, a space weather mission; ELFIN-STAR (Electron Losses and Fields Investigation’s Spatio-Temporal Ambiguity Resolver); DAVE (Damping and Vibrations Experiment); SurfSat (Surface charging Satellite).
